Copper Peacock Fire Surround
A repoussé copper fire surround (part complete) with each side of the fireplace having a stylised peacock design (Object No.40 Private Collection of Bob Pluck)
A near identical design by John Williams and the Newton School was illustrated in “Arts and Crafts” periodical in 1907. Possibly the unfinished peacock fire surround fireplace mentioned in The Studio article on the HAIA exhibition, 1896.
